Zae's was founded in June 2022, inspired by family, flavor, and a passion for community. The name and logo come from the owners' youngest son, Isaiah—affectionately known as "Zae"—reflecting the heart behind everything the business stands for.
Owners Maegen and Marlon English bring decades of experience to Zae's. Marlon has over 30 years in the culinary industry, mastering his craft in restaurant kitchens, while Maegen contributes over 25 years of experience in banking, providing the structure and vision behind the business.
Originally from Chicago and now proud residents of Belvidere for over 18 years, they wanted to bring authentic Chicago-style flavors to their local community. At Zae's, everything is rooted in faith, family, and fun. We're committed to serving fresh, high-quality food quickly, without compromising on experience. Every guest is treated like family.
